About the Opportunity:

Ellucian is seeking an innovative hands-on Software Engineer I, to be an integral part of the design, build out and adoption of an exciting new cloud-based higher education solutions.

This is an entry level role which will involve a bootcamp training programme and on the job coaching and mentoring.

Working closely with product architects and product management you will be working on a new technology project involving the design and creation of a new product.

Where you will make an impact

  • You will participate in the design, development, and delivery of new solutions for the next generation of Higher Education products
  • Utilising the system features such as integration, security, scalability and performance
  • You will share your knowledge of development methodologies, design, testing automation, best practices and procedures with the team whilst taking into consideration other members viewpoints.

What you will bring

  • Knowledge of JavaScript development frameworks NodeJS and ReactJS
  • Solid understanding and practice of Agile software development
  • Solid understanding of web services and SOA related standards like REST/OAuth/JSON
  • Solid fundamentals on Object-Oriented Design, Patterns and Data Structures
  • Strong, effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A self-motivated and innovative mindset with a passion for learning new technology.
  • Full stack experience a plus, but on the job training and coaching will be provided
  • Experience in AWS and database technology a plus
